Wombourne's Carnival for 2020 is always held in the first Sunday in July.

This year organisers are asking residents to host their own carnival in their street, garden, driveway or front room.

They are encouraging socially distanced BBQs or picnics and asking people to decorate their homes for the occasion - with prizes available for the best home, street, business and individual.

As part of the celebrations, organisers are asking villagers to draw pictures of their favourite carnival day, past or present, and take them to open shops on Common Road where they will be laminated and displayed around the village green.

A JustGiving page has also been set up where donations can be made to charities who would normally attend the carnival.

Donations can also be made in any of the open shops on Common Road.
