Bernadette Peters to perform in Birmingham

Multi-award winning star Bernadette Peters will perform in Birmingham later this year.

The Annie, Anastasia, Pennies from Heaven and The Jerk actress will bring her headline show to the Symphony Hall in June.

The stage and screen star will perform selections from her award-winning Broadway outings, including songs from Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods and Hello, Dolly!.

Renowned around the world as one of the foremost interpreters of Sondheim, the 70-year-old Grammy and Emmy Award nominee has performed at the most prestigious international concert halls, including the Royal Opera House, the Royal Festival Hall, the Sydney Opera House, the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, Radio City and Lincoln Center.

She recently starred in the hit series, Mozart in the Jungle on Amazon Prime, and in TV drama The Good Fight on CBS in America and More 4 in the UK, having previously appeared in no less than 33 films and TV movies.

She also headlined the recent Broadway revivals of A Little Night Music, Follies and Hello, Dolly!.

Bernadette Peters will perform at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on June 14.
