Vacancies are up for grabs in accounting, animal care, bakery, beauty therapy, catering and childcare among other areas.

It comes as the college recently announced record numbers of students progressing on to university – with more than 800 last year.

Principal Keith Bate said: "The vast majority of teaching staff at the college have progressed their careers through training within the organisation and many have been promoted to senior teaching and management jobs.

"As a large local employer it is incumbent on us to invest in the local economy and enhance education and training possibilities for local people that would not otherwise be available.

"Halesowen College is continuing its commitment to being an exemplary local employer recognised for the most capable, committed and caring staff. A key aim of the organisation is to be the leading centre for training in education and learning within the region and with this in mind new job and training opportunities are planned for September 2016."

Each year the college provides teacher training places based on a one-year full time or two-year part-time programme through the post-16 initial teacher training programme in partnership with the University of Worcester. Job vacancies are also available in IT, Fashion, Graphic Design, Maths and English.
