Wolves were today preparing to unveil two new 'signings' as Jody Craddock and Karl Henry made their comebacks.

The two captains were due to play in a specially-arranged behind-closed-doors friendly against Sven-Goran Eriksson's Leicester at Compton this afternoon.

Forgotten striker Sam Vokes, whose loan at Bristol City was wrecked by a twice-torn hamstring, also had a chance of playing.

Both Craddock and Henry have had a week's full training under their belts and, providing they come through today's game unscathed, could be involved in Saturday's clash at Manchester City.

Craddock has missed the last 15 games with a thigh problem that eventually required an injection on December 12 to break up scar tissue, after breaking down early in the 1-1 draw against West Ham on October 16.

Henry has been out for the last eight matches after sustaining a slight tear of his medial ligaments in the 2-1 defeat at Blackpool on November 20.

Wolves have won four and drawn one of the games Henry has sat out, but team-mate Nenad Milijas admitted the players have been missed.

He said: "It's not just Jody and Karl - we've missed a lot of players over a long period of time.

"It will be good to have them back, but we've also been without Adlene Guedioura, David Edwards, Kevin Doyle, now Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and even Michael Kightly.

"I've only played with Kightly once and I really hope he can get fully fit. I hope he can play again this season."

Wolves have also been linked with Reading's £1.5million-rated striker Simon Church.

The 22-year-old Wales international, who has scored four goals in 24 games this season, has been watched by Molineux scouts.

Wolves want another striker with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake out for three weeks with a hamstring injury and having let Marcus Bent return to Birmingham.

Six-foot Church has scored 14 in 59 league games for Reading, but 28 of those appearances have been from the bench.

Swansea and Nottingham Forest are also interested.
