Former Wolves stars 'in it to win it' as USA tournament gets underway
Scott Golbourne is adamant that Wolves are in it to win it as a squad of former players kick-off a tournament in America.
The former left-back is one of 10 former Wolves players that will represent the club, as the first ever TST tournament in North Carolina gets underway.
Today they will face both Villita FC at 2.15pm UK time and Blade & Grass FC at 10pm UK time, before playing DMV Diplomats tomorrow at 2.30pm UK time – with the hope of getting through to the knock-out stages as they chase down the $1million prize pot.
Golbourne, 35, insists the squad is determined to win as they pull on a Wolves shirt again.
"You never lose the competitiveness, you can't help it, it's just in us! We can't get involved in anything and not want to win," he said.
"We're not prime professional athletes anymore, but that bit of fire and will to win doesn't go anywhere, the lads are still chasing that ball around. It's an amazing set-up and it will be really enjoyable.
