Here we look at six iconic games during his time at the club.

Bristol City (a) December 2017

Nuno was dismissed to the stands due to his reaction at seeing captain Danny Batth sent off after just 14 minutes at Ashton Gate.

Bobby Reid then went on to put the Robins in front before a Barry Douglas free-kick made it 1-1.

But in the 94th minute there was unbelievable drama. Watching on from his banished position near the Bristol City directors, Nuno couldn't hold back the emotion when Ryan Bennett scored a late winner.

It didn't please the people he was near. But his celebration was incredible.

Cardiff (a) April 2018

One of the most dramatic finales you will ever see, Gary Madine and Junior Hoilett both missed stoppage time penalties to ensure Wolves won 1-0.

The second penalty miss led to wild celebrations with Nuno running onto the pitch to be with his players.

That celebration, though, enraged Cardiff boss Neil Warnock who refused to shake hands with the Portuguese boss before then saying he never wanted to see him again.

Manchester United (h) March 2019.

A night that had Molineux absolutely rocking.

Wolves reached their first FA Cup semi-final for 21 years thanks to a brilliant victory over Manchester United.

Nuno's rampant side thoroughly deserved their win with Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez the men on target.

The celebrations on and off the pitch when the final whistle sounded really were joyous.

Leicester (h) January 2019

Another famous Nuno celebration, the boss couldn't hold himself back when Diogo Jota scored a 94th minute winner – and completed his hat-trick – to seal a 4-3 victory for Wolves.

Nuno went running down the touchline and onto the pitch to celebrate in a heap with his players.

Yet again he was sent to the stands for actions – not that he seemed too fussed.

Torino (a) August 2019

Wolves got themselves in a cracking position to qualify for the Europa League group stages after winning 3-2 against Torino.

Fans who travelled to Italy said the first-leg qualifier was one of the best matches they had attended in decades.

An own-goal from Gleison Bremer and strikes from Jota and Jimenez ensured this was the first step on a remarkable European adventure.

Besiktas (h) December 2019

Nuno picked up Wolves in the Championship and here they were securing a thumping 4-0 victory in Europe.

After coming off the bench, Diogo Jota scored an 11-minute hat-trick with Leander Dendoncker also on target.

Having actually rested players on the night with Wolves already having qualified from their group, this match was a huge indication at just how far the club had come under Nuno.
