Jesus Vallejo and Patrick Cutrone have moved to Molineux from Real Madrid and AC Milan respectively, while Pedro Neto and Bruno Jordao joined from Italian side Lazio on Friday, signing five-year contracts.

Bennett’s place in the first XI could be at risk by centre-half Vallejo’s capture on a season-long loan, but he said: “It’s exciting for the fans and it’s the same for us, we love it.

“You look at the players we’re linked with and it’s unbelievable.

“For me, to come from two years ago and see who we’re linked with now and the status of the club, it’s a pleasure to be part of it.

“It’s a tight squad, everyone is ready and there will be times when we’re all used.

“You’ve got to work as hard as you can and be ready if your time comes.

“It’s a pleasure to play in a team with so many stars in it.

“To train with these guys day in, day out, it’s great to be part of it.

“It’s exciting to see where (Cutrone) has come from and hopefully he hits the ground running.

“Jesus is a top man and hopefully he settles in as quickly as he can and helps us.”

The new signings arrive with big reputations but Bennett says their work ethic and professionalism will dictate whether they are a success at Wolves.

“To sign players from AC Milan and Real Madrid, it’s unbelievable,” he added.

“But it’s more about the people they are – down to earth, professional and hard-working.

“It’s no surprise when you see the foreign younger teams, and the differences with English youngsters, is night and day.”
