The Welsh striker has made the move to the Bet365 Stadium today in a deal which also saw Peter Crouch move in the opposite direction.

The fee is believed to be £7m – rising to £9m with add-ons. And it's understood that Wolves, who will receive 25 per cent of any profit on top of the £350,000 they sold Vokes for in 2012, will receive cash for both the initial fee and those potential add-ons.

That means they receive £1.6m now and a further £500,000 if the add-ons are triggered during Vokes' stay at Stoke.

Vokes joined Wolves under Mick McCarthy some 11 years ago, in 2008, scoring nine goals in 59 appearance over the next four years, mostly as a substitute.
