Norris starred in Tuesday night's 1-0 victory over Bristol Rovers.

The keeper made a string of excellent saves and duly kept his third clean sheet from three appearances for his new clubs.

Nuno Espirito Santo made eight changes for the tie and Norris believes the Wolves winning habit has engulfed the whole squad.

"It’s going really well in the cup but we can’t look at these games as a break from the league," he said.

"We need to keep a winning feeling around the group so when you are called upon in the league you’ve got that winning mentality and that experience of winning.

"I think that’s resonating around the group.

"We’re in the last 16 now and it’s fantastic for the boys that aren’t really getting much of a look-in in the league and want more games. We want to keep it going.

"There’s good depth in the squad and everyone’s done themselves proud."

Norris has made a productive start to his Wolves career after joining from League Two side Cambridge United in the summer.

He's keen to keep the cup run going, especially as it likely means more game time for him and a number of other fringe players.

"I can’t ask for much more (from the cup so far), it’s just nice to get the clean sheets and the wins. Long may it continue.

"I thought Bristol Rovers were excellent, they played really well, they were difficult to break down and they got good opportunities.

"Thankfully when I was called upon I made the saves and that’s all I can do.

"No one wanted extra time but you’ve just got to take the positives. We went 120 minutes, it’s just more minutes under the belt for the players that aren’t playing as many minutes as they’d like to.

"We’ve got to take the positives. Even though we didn’t get the goal in normal time it wasn’t for a lack of trying. I thought Bristol Rovers were excellent.

"It’s just nice to get on the pitch and pull the shirt on. All we can do when we get the opportunity from the gaffer is get the win, get a clean sheet and do our jobs.

"It’s not just the game – every day in training I need to be bang on it. John (Ruddy) has been unbelievable in the league and you can’t bang on the gaffer’s door when the goalkeeper’s playing that well.

"All I can do is play well in these games, keep my head down and do my job.

"It’s nice to make the saves when called upon but I like the quiet games myself!

"The woodwork saved me a couple of times. When I touched it I didn’t want to look around in case I heard the cheers.

"Luckily they came back out."
