Gordon is the only active international player in the Saddlers squad and will be unavailable for Saturday’s trip to Salford City due to international commitments.

The 24-year-old has been capped 11 times by Guyana, and starred in his country’s only ever major international tournament at the 2019 Concacaf Cup.

Guyana failed to qualify for the 2023 edition, after Gordon scored an unfortunate own goal in a 2-0 defeat against Guadeloupe in June.

However, Gordon has gone from strength to strength since his career-threatening leg injury last season, and has started the new campaign in impressive form for Walsall.
