Th 22-year-old has put in game-changing performances in the last three games after a largely inconsistent season.

His goal tally now stands at eight after netting three times in the last two fixtures and Adebayo says things have finally clicked for him.

"I've been having words with members of staff and the main part of my game that we wanted to see more was that endeavour, working hard - that fire," he said.

"I've had to go away and think about myself and get that fire that gets me going before games and what gets me going when I come on.

"I think I've found that and obviously the goals are a big part of it.

"It's about consistency now and the standard - you see the standard from the last three games, that's what it should have been like from the beginning of the season.

"But we'll carry it on until the end of the season and then look forward.

"They're on me every day, they demand 100 per cent.

"It's not been non-existent in the first half of the season but they wanted to see it in a more consistent basis.

"I've gone back and said this is what I need to be and I thank the management for keeping on me every day, you need that in order to progress."

Happiness has been a key factor in Adebayo's superb resurgence, but the former Fulham man insists he isn't resting on his laurels.

"I wouldn't say something has changed drastically but I went to find what I needed to motivate me," he added.

"I am happy now as it's all coming together for me, but there is still a lot of work to do.

"First and foremost we keep working hard and then smile later on."

When asked what that 'fire' is, however, the forward decided to keep his cards close to his chest.

"I'm sorry, I can't share that with you," he said.

"It's just something that's in my mind constantly and I feel like I use that as my motivation.

"I'll share it with you one day, but not today."
