Both kits are already available to buy online, and the club shop, which is open as usual today and tomorrow, is also opening between 10am and 2pm on Saturday.

The kit is the first one produced by Errea, who designed the shirts with the club. They signed a three-year deal last week after previous manufacturers Carbrini were ditched for failing to provide last season’s shirt before the campaign started.

Adult shirts retail from £39.99 to £44.99, shorts for £14.99 and socks (7-11) at £8.99. Junior shirts are from £27.99, shorts £10.99 and socks (12-2 and 2-6) for £6.99.

The new strips have gone down well with supporters, with 94 per cent of respondents to an Express & Star poll saying they liked them.

Both shirts will have the HomeServe logo on the front, after the Walsall-based company signed a five-year principal partnership last month.

HomeServe are offering two fans the chance to get their hands on the club’s new third kit before anyone else, and competition winners will also meet the team at an open training session later this summer.

They have challenged supporters to photo themselves wearing one of the two new kits in the most creative places imaginable and upload it onto HomeServe’s Twitter or Facebook pages with the hashtag #SaddlerSelfie.

The competition is open until July 24.
