Referee Kane ruled the goal out for offside, judging new signing Richard Brodie to be interfering with play.

Tobias Mullarkey nearly put the visitors ahead on 23 minutes but his snap shot was superbly kept out by Jahquil Hill.

The Dabbers went down to 10 men on 38 minutes when captain Sam Hall was sent off for a two footed challenge on Pics player Sam Whittall in the middle of the pitch.

Joe Hull put the hosts ahead right on the stroke of half time after rising highest to nod home a Jordon Sangha corner to make it 1-0.

It was a quiet start to the second half with few chances for both sides as Nantwich struggled to get a foothold in the game.

Debutant Richard Brodie dusted himself off to take a penalty on 76 minutes after Nantwich defender Tobias Mullarkey brought the forward down in the box.

His spot kick beat William Jaaskelainen to complete the scoring and send Rushall into a 2-0 lead.

The Pics kept 10-man Nantwich at bay for the remainder of the game, with Hill only called into action in the 90th minute to deny the Dabbers a consolation with a fantastic save.
