The club also hopes to broadcast video of supporters roaring on Dean Smith’s men on pitchside LED screens when the top-flight campaign resumes against Sheffield United next Wednesday.

With all remaining matches being played behind closed doors, Villa are eager to keep fans engaged.

The mosaic will be created from social media profile pictures, while supporters were also invited to submit a short video of themselves cheering on the team. Earlier this week fans were asked to send in flags to decorate the Villa Park stands in preparation for the run-in.

Villa have, meanwhile, agreed to let striker Scott Hogan remain at Blues for the rest of the season.

The 28-year-old’s loan was due to expire at the end of the month but the rival clubs have reached an agreement for him to stay at St Andrew’s.
