Darren Goodall's improving side host Midland League Premier Division leaders Newark xxxx at the CKW Stadium.

And Goodall is relishing the task of taking on another one of the promotion contenders having claimed an impressive point away to Walsall Wood on Tuesday evening.

"I enjoy the games against the sides at the top," said Goodall. "It's good for the players to test themselves against those sides.

"And we will have a say in the tile because after Newark tomorrow we still have to play Coventry xxx and Sporting Khalsa.

"It will be a tough game and they are a very physical side.

"It was like the Alamo in the first half when we played them at their place. We went in one down, but did well second half and were unfortunate to lose 2-1.

"We played well against Wood in midweek and we are looking to follow that up."

Wulfs are on a good run of form having tasted defeat just twice in 12 games (CHECK) and Goodall is keen to secure a top half finish.

"We are on a good run of form and we have competed in every game this season with the possible exception of Romulus away," he said.

"It took a while, probably until around December, to get this squad together and settled.

"They are a good bunch of lads and I wish I'd had this group from the start of the season.

"We have got a decent squad and we are just missing that extra little bit of money to get a goalscorer in which would make us a top six side.

"We are still in the Walsall Senior Cup and the Hunt Cup and the aim is to finish the season a s strong as we can.

"The top eight was the aim before the start of the season and that's still possible, although we have some tough games to go."

"Hopefully we can keep what we have, because when you are doing well, other clubs soon start to sniff around your players.

"Wouldn't say there is an outstanding side this season, but there are a lot of very good ones.

Blooded a few lads from the youth team as well which is good for the club.
