Darren Parker murder: Tributes to man stabbed to death in West Bromwich

Tributes have been paid to a man who was stabbed to death in West Bromwich.

Darren Parker, aged 43, died after being knifed in Campville Crescent, Stone Cross on Wednesday.

Flowers have been left at the scene of the murder, where a man named locally as Sean Varden, who is in early 20s, was also stabbed.

One message read: "Dad rest in peace we love you so much, gonna miss u so so much you were a top man. Lots of love Tash, Meg AJ XXX"

Another read: "To the greatest uncle in the world. Words can't describe the pain we feel. love and miss you always love Sarah, Kev and Oliver xxxx."

Unemployed Demarco Martin, aged 19, from Campville Crescent, Stone Cross, appeared at Sandwell Magistrates Court on Friday charged with murder and attempted murder.

Martin spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court today for a preliminary hearing.

A man aged 24 and a woman, 23, who were also arrested have been released and will face no further action.
