Appeal launched after man suffers broken jaw in Kidderminster assault

A man suffered a broken jaw after being assaulted outside a bar.

Police have launched an appeal following the assault in New Road, Kidderminster in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident happened close to Nu Bar at around 2.25am.

A 19-year-old man suffered a fractured jaw that required surgery and a possible concussion, after he is reported to have been hit by a man following a verbal altercation.

PC Ian Heeks of West Mercia Police said: "This is a nasty assault that has caused significant injury to the victim and we'd like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.

"A number of men are believed to have been involved in the altercation and we are aware of several possible witnesses, some of which helped assist the victim prior to ambulance arriving."
