New and returning acts performed on the three evenings during the week of February 25 at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre.

New additions to the evenings this year were local community groups MYTS, Rooftops, Fusion, Healing Voices and Total Stars.

This year saw around 35 acts, in the region of 900 young people from both local primary and secondary schools, taking to the stage alongside their music teachers.

Donations were given on each night and £400 was raised for Marshlands to purchase a piece of play equipment in memorial of pupil Keegan Unitt who died in a house fire in the town last month. And £400 was raised for Katharine House Hospice.

Stephen Glover from SSPA Events said, "We had three wonderful evenings involving so many people. The groups had you in tears and laughter throughout. The quality just gets better and the soloists this year were incredible. Well done to all participants.

"As always thanks must go to all the staff at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre for their contribution in making the event run as smoothly as possible from the front of house staff, to the technical and backstage staff through to the box office staff, whilst thanks is also due to Epic Action Imagery for capturing the event so well."

Next year’s shows will commence the week of February 24, 2020, and to register schools, soloists or community choirs email admin@sspa-events.com
