Carl Campbell murder: Two men deny West Bromwich street killing

Two men have denied murdering a father-of-one in broad daylight in a Black Country town centre.

Carl Campbell was shot dead in West Bromwich in December while sitting in a stationary Ford Fiesta on Dartmouth Street, close to the junction with High Street.

Mr Campbell, 33, from Low Hill, Wolverhampton, died of a gunshot wound to the face as he sat in his car.

Today, 25-year-old Jaspal Rai and 20-year-old Mohammed Humza, both of no fixed abode, pleaded not guilty to murder at Birmingham Crown Court.

They also both denied possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Vikesh Chauhan, 24, also of no fixed abode, has previously pleaded not guilty to murder and not guilty to possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Rai, Humza and Chauhan will appear at Birmingham Crown Court on June 28 for trial.
