Oldbury motorcyclist killed in Bridgnorth Road crash near Stourbridge

A motorcyclist has died following a crash involving three vehicles near Stourbridge.

The man's Triumph motorcycle was involved in a crash with two other vehicles on the A458 Bridgnorth Road, near to Stourton, at around 1.15pm on Saturday.

The 48-year-old, from the Oldbury area, suffered serious injuries in the crash and died at the scene, near to the Fox Inn.

The crash also involved a Mercedes C180 and a Land Rover Evoque.

A spokesman from Staffordshire Police said: "Sadly, the motorcyclist, a 48-year-old man from the Oldbury area, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

"His family are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time."

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman added: "On arrival crews discovered one patient, a man, who was in cardiac arrest.

“Ambulance staff administered CPR and advanced life support. However, unfortunately it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
