Warning after attempted kidnap of teenage girl in Dudley

Police have launched an investigation after reports of a man attempting to kidnap a teenage girl.

The 17-year-old victim was walking in Upper Gornal, Dudley, when she approached by a man in a car.

The man asked her for directions – before grabbing the girl and trying to pull her towards the vehicle.

Police said the girl managed to escape and run away.

It happened near the junction of Holloway Street and Hill Street at around 6.15pm last Thursday.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said CCTV in the area is being reviewed as part of their ongoing investigation.
