Bentley and Audi 'were racing' before tragic Wolverhampton crash which killed young brothers

The drivers of an Audi and Bentley were racing one another before a tragic crash which killed two young brothers, a court heard.

Pawanveer Singh, aged 23 months, and his brother Sanjay, aged 10, were in their mother's BMW on Wolverhampton's Birmingham New Road at 8.45pm on Match 14, 2019, when the Audi ploughed into them.

Both of the boys, from Sedgley, were killed instantly and their mother suffered spinal injuries but the driver of the Audi fled the scene despite passers-by confronting him about the crash.

A witness told the jury from behind a screen that the two cars were racing. He said: "The Bentley and the Audi were bumper-to-bumper. The was a huge roar from the engines.
