Xhezar Cani, aged 31, made a run for it when police carried out an early morning raid at a house that had been transformed into a cannabis factory in Blakemore, Brookside, Telford.

In total, 150 plants were discovered, and expert analysis showed there was 8.69 kilogrammes of cannabis that could have yielded up to £52,000.

Shrewsbury Crown Court heard how the drama unfolded on April 18, 2021.

Cani was in the drugs factory with fellow cannabis producers Vito Scotese and Adrian Ballhysa when police arrived. Ballhysa bolted out of the back door while Cani and Scotese ran up the road. All were arrested.
