Police at the scene of the killings in Brierley Hill

Omar Ramzan, 24, is alleged to have taken part in a fight outside a cannabis factory in Pensnett Road, Brierley Hill, where two men were killed.

He is one three men accused of murdering his uncle, Waseem Ramzan, 36, and Khuzaimah Douglas, 19.

The co-defendants are his father Saghawat Ramzan, 46, and Sageer Mohammed, 33.

Prosecutors allege the Ramzan family controlled the factory at an address close to their home where the alleged murders took place early on February 20, 2020.

Jurors at Wolverhampton Crown Court heard the property was targeted by a group of intruders that morning.

Omar said he was awoken by the sound of a “large commotion outside the house” and says he went back to the house and retrieved a small crossbow in a bid to scare off the attackers.

Saghawat and Omar Ramzan, of Pensnett Road, and Sageer Mohammed, of Gorsty Avenue, in Brierley Hill, deny two counts of murder.

The trial continues.
