Men rob Norton Canes Co-op with hammer

Three men stole a till and cigarettes in an armed robbery at a Norton Canes Co-op.

The robbers broke into the shop in Brownhills Road at about 1.15am on Saturday brandishing a sledgehammer.

They smashed a counter and made off in a dark coloured van driven by a fourth man with the till with a large amount of cash inside and vape cigarettes, Staffordshire Police said.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
