Man charged after woman and baby spat at on bus

A man has been charged after a woman and baby were spat at and assaulted on a bus.

It took place on an X51 bus, which runs from Cannock to Birmingham via Walsall and Great Barr, with a social media appeal launched by the Safer Travel police team.

Christopher Highton Pope, from Walsall, has been charged with two counts of common assault after the attack on June 7.

The 32-year-old, from Harden Road, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on October 16.
