Two teenagers taken to hospital after stabbing in Black Country flat

Two 17-year-old boys were taken to hospital after reports of a stabbing in a Black Country flat.

One of the teenagers has been arrested on suspicion of wounding and remains in hospital.

Their injuries are not believed to be serious, police said.

The incident took place just before midnight on Sunday at an address in Waterloo Road, Smethwick.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Investigations remain ongoing to establish the circumstances around this incident.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer and a trauma doctor to the scene.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “We treated a man for multiple injuries before conveying him to hospital for further treatment.”
