WATCH: CCTV appeal after teenager stabbed outside Birmingham charity shop

Police have released terrifying footage of the moment a teenager was stabbed in a Birmingham city centre shop.

West Midlands Police has released the CCTV footage of the stabbing in Bull Street, Birmingham

The 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the leg after trouble flared outside the British Heart Foundation store in Bull Street, at 5.30pm on February 26.

Fortunately, the boy's injuries were not serious.

West Midlands Police has now released CCTV footage showing a fight between three teenagers spilling into the doorway of the store.

Officers are now appealing to trace the two teenagers involved.

Police are continuing to crackdown on knife crime in the West Midlands – and between March 1 and 4, 408 stop and searches have taken place under Section 60 powers, 24 people have been arrested and 14 weapons have been seized.

Anyone who recognises the two teenagers involved is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101, quoting incident reference number 20BW/48973J/19.
