Driver fails breath test after dropping child at school in Stafford

A driver failed a breath test just after dropping her child off at school.

Officers stopped the driver in the Doxley area of Stafford at around 8.40am this morning and she provided a positive breath test, Staffordshire Police said.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested and is currently in custody.

Staffs Police Tactical Support Team tweeted saying: "This female driver has provided a positive roadside breath test just after dropping her child off at school #fatal4 #staffststc."

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: "A 32-year-old woman was arrested in the Doxey area of Stafford this morning after she provided a positive breath test. She is currently in custody."
