Man charged over bag snatch on 93-year-old pensioner
A man has been charged over a bag snatch where a pensioner was dragged to the ground.
Carlos Crawford has been charged with the robbery and appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
The attack on the 93-year-old woman happened in Bromford Gardens, in Edgbaston, on January 24, where she was pulled to the floor before the offender made off with her handbag.
Officers investigating the incident traced Crawford to an address in Smethwick on Sunday after they released CCTV footage of the robbery.
The unemployed 38-year-old, of Bennetts Road, in Washwood Heath, pleaded not guilty to the robbery when he appeared before court today.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Crown Court on March 4.
