Arsenal of deadly weapons seized in drugs bust by Wolverhampton police

This deadly haul of weapons were seized from a home in Wolverhampton by police along with drugs and cash.

Officers raided the home in Provence Close, Park Village, just after 7.30am on Friday.

Four machetes, a crossbow, suspected Class A drugs, a large sum of cash and an extendable baton were discovered.

Four men aged 51, 29 and two 19-year-olds have been arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and are currently in custody.

Inspector Stephanie Furber, from Wolverhampton Police, said: "We acted upon the concerns of the community and recovered a haul of drugs, weapons and cash.

"This is part of our on-going commitment to tackle weapons and drugs in Wolverhampton and we have further action planned. We will leave no stone unturned in our desire to keep the city safe from crime."
