Man dies after being hit by car in Birmingham
A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in Birmingham.
The 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene in Highgate Road, Balsall Heath, at around 10.45pm on Friday.
A 25-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and remains in police custody.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any further information, is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101, quoting incident reference number 2768 of December 28.
