Arrests made in crackdown on 'acquisitive crime'

Three people have been arrested in Walsall following a crackdown on 'acquisitive crime'.

As part of Operation Vibrant West Midlands Police raided a property in Monarch Grove and two addresses at Webster Road around 1.30pm on Tuesday.

The force confirmed they acted following tip-offs from the public.

They recovered cannabis, cash, jewellery and a suspected stolen car.

A 31-year-old man was arrested for theft of a car and possession with intent to supply cannabis, while a 24-year-old woman was arrested for possession with intent to supply cannabis and a 57-year-old man was arrested for burglary and money laundering.

Inspector Jason Anderson, from Bloxwich Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “These arrests have been made as a result of information people have given to us.

"I hope this will encourage more people to come forward, knowing that we will act on what they tell us.
