Wolverhampton teenager, 14, is stabbed in broad daylight

A teenager has been left with 'nasty injuries' following a stabbing in Wolverhampton.

The 14-year-old boy attended hospital yesterday afternoon with stab wounds to his chest and arm, which are reportedly not life threatening.

The incident is thought to have occurred on or around Ashbourne Road, Eastfields, around midday.

However West Midlands Police admitted it was 'unsure' of what exactly what happened and where exactly the stabbing took place. It is urging anyone with any information to get in touch.

Detective inspector Hannah Whitehouse said: “Our investigation is in the very early stages, we are unsure of exactly what has happened or where it occurred.

“I’m urging anyone who has any information, no matter how small it may seem, to give us a call as a matter of urgency.

“A young boy is in hospital with nasty injuries and we need to establish what has happened to him”.
