Khurram Rahi, 27, of Rosefield Road, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court today charged in connection to the incident at Witton railway station last Tuesday.

He pleaded not guilty to the alleged offence and spoke only to confirm his details wearing a red top and jeans.

Two men were arrested after the girl was raped twice on the same night.

A 34-year-old man from the Birmingham area has been released under police investigation while inquiries continue.

Detectives said the teenager was first assaulted in a secluded part of Witton station, near the Aston Villa football ground, between 8pm on Tuesday and 2am the following morning.

Shortly after that attack, the girl walked out of the station and flagged down a passing vehicle to ask for help but was raped a second time.

Rahi was remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Crown Court on August 28.
