Marti Pellow came to Birmingham's Symphony Hall last night with his Private Collection Tour.

The show celebrated the 53-year-old Scottish singer's 30-year career, which has included number ones and hit singles from Marti as both a solo artist and alongside former band Wet Wet Wet.

Talking ahead of the The Private Collection Tour, Marti said playing live is about 'sharing a connection with the audience'.
“I don’t care where the songs come from, it’s about having the best night out, pure and simple," he said.

"I was just blown away by the amazing response from fans after we did our big concert tour earlier this year, and then exactly the same response after we did a couple of our Private Collection shows in a much more intimate setting.
"I thought 'if you all really loved those shows, then I want to come out and play these great songs and more for you'.

Wet Wet Wet enjoyed a series of huge hits across a 10-year period, including Sweet Little Mystery, Angel Eyes, Wishing I Was Lucky and Temptation.
