The brainchild of former MonoBloggers frontman Sam Lambeth, the former The Ticket Unsigned band are playing their first ever headline gig in their home city to celebrate the milestone at the Slade Rooms on June 2.

The band – featuring Lambeth on vocals and guitars, Samm Jones on drums and Andy King on bass – have gained acclaim for their live performances. Now, QUINN are bringing their 'fuzz pop classics' to the Slade Rooms in what is a double celebration as they also release their new one-off single All The Best. It is produced by local musical legend Ryan Pinson of RML Studios, based at the city's Newhampton Arts Centre.

"I can’t wait to return to the Slade Rooms," Lambeth said. "We sadly don’t get to gig in Wolverhampton very often. It’s been nearly 18 months since we last played here, but most of our friends and family are here and we felt it was unfair that they were getting out of coming to see us, so now there are no excuses!

"We’ve arranged three excellent bands we know and love to support. As the Slade Rooms’ record appearance holder, it’s a chance for me to continue my empirical reign over the venue...or I might just play a few songs.”

Since forming in 2016, QUINN have released two EPs - Seems Fine in 2016 and last year's Crush. They have supported artists such as We Are Scientists, Evan Dando and INHEAVEN and their 2017 single Amanda Knocks received airplay on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and more.

They will be hoping for All The Best with their new single, too.

“We are releasing our new single the day before our headliner, so it’s going to be a very celebratory weekend, I hope," Lambeth adds. "It’s a song people that have seen us live love and hold dear, so we’re hoping it’s going to get a good reception.

"It shows a real sonic shift for us musically, exploring different textures and sounds. It’s the most polished thing we’ve done so far, but I’m really proud of it and kudos to Ryan Pinson for such excellent production. We’ll be working hard in the studio during the rest of the year – we’re going to take it slower, record tracks more sporadically and really give them the polish and time they need, as opposed to rush-releasing a third EP.”

Support for that June 2 show comes from three equally excellent bands – The Hungry Ghosts, P.E.T. and Pool. Tickets are £5 and are available online and via the bands' social media handles, with doors opening at 7.30pm.

All The Best, and its accompanying video, will be released on June 1.

"It’s a great opportunity to persuade newcomers who are local to us to see us live," adds Lambeth. "We always put on a great show live. I play every gig like it is my last and try to put the spectacle into our performances, so people won’t be disappointed.

"Even if they are, there’s no refunds.”
