Tommy Emmanuel is holding his first ever guitar camp this summer

Before the Aussie star takes to the stage at various destinations, including Birmingham’s Town Hall for the closing night on May 21, he will be hosting a four-day guitar camp in Scotland.

The Tommy Emmanuel Guitar Camp Scotland is a four-day event for players and music-lovers of all ages, levels, interests, and tastes, whether a master player, a beginner, or just an enthusiastic fan. The programs offer activities and workshops and features guest instructors Richard Smith, Frank Vignola and John Knowles.

Then, the live dates can kick in. And Vignola and Vinny Raniolo will be the support for these.

Accomplice One is a 16-track collaborative album featuring guest artists such as Jason Isbell, Mark Knopfler and JD Simo, among others.

“It's been such an honour to work with some of the greatest artists I know, and some of the most inspiring people in music today,” said Emmanuel when it was released in January. “I wanted to record an album of duets that could showcase my love of many styles, the challenge of rearranging some classic songs, and share the fun of total improvisation with players who do it on a level that we all marvel at!”

The album delivers a jaw-dropping rendition of Purple Haze with Dobro master Jerry Douglas. You Don’t Want to Get You One of Those showcases a sly vocal and acoustic duet with Dire Straits’ legend Knopfler, and Djangology is a gypsy jazz treat cut live in Havana, Cuba with Vignola and Raniolo.

Fans will be able to hear these and much more when Emmanuel arrives for his Second City date later this month.

Tickets for the Town Hall gig, priced at £30.50, can be bought here.
