Star Wars-themed Lego exhibition comes to Himley Hall - with pictures

Families can take a trip to a galaxy far, far away at a new exhibition at Himley Hall this summer.

A Star Wars-themed Lego exhibition kicked off at the weekend and will run until September 30.

Star Wars fans can view a series of themed displays including an Ewok village, space station, desert and ice plateau staged with figures and vehicles.

Lego versions of gunships, including the Imperial Star Destroyer and Millennium Falcon, a Sandcrawler, AT-AT Walkers and Jabba the Hut's Palace are all featured and individual Lego figures include Jabba the Hut, Bobba Fett, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan-Kenobi, C3-PO and R2-D2 – plus a range of Storm Troopers, Droids and Ewoks.

The Death Star takes aim

Models made of Lego include a Lego Yoda, a life size Darth Maul head and a range of vehicles, including the Death Star. A range of light sabres and official Lego posters are also on display.

Alan Lunt, strategic director for place, said: "We are delighted to be able to offer this wonderful exhibition, which will prove interesting to children and adults of all ages.”
