The chocolatiers at Cadbury World have revealed a tasty spooky scene to celebrate Halloween.

Dawn Jenks and Donna Oluban produced the spooky scene

Produced by Dawn Jenks and Donna Oluban over two days, the chocolate masterpiece weighs around 15kg – the equivalent of 333 standard bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk.

To build the Halloween scene, the chocolatiers worked with solid milk chocolate to produce the ghostly door that forms the backdrop with a wooden panelled effect.

It also features a chocolate key, 3D door knob and hinges which were all fixed to the creation using melted milk chocolate.

Adding to the creation, Dawn and Donna used a piping bag to form the shape of the witch’s hat and solid chocolate was layered to make the covers of the spell book, with melted milk chocolate used to create the illusion of pages. On one of the pages a magical chocolatey spell has been also hand-piped by the chocolatiers.

A stunningly spooky chocolate cat sits centre stage atop a decorated pumpkin and features glowing green eyes, with hand-crafted rust coloured chocolate leaves adding an autumnal effect. The flourish comes from an intricate witch’s broom stick and the chocolatiers then added a layer of gold lustre to complete the look.

The creation is on display in Cadbury World’s Chocolate Making zone as part of the Halloween celebrations until Sunday, November 3.
