West Midlands Police took to social media for the reveal hours before the season finale of Line of Duty.

The force asked viewers to identify which pup was the villain in the police cop corruption drama.

The BBC One show has has attracted millions of viewers during its fifth season.

The force tweeted: "Introducing our ‘Line of Duty’ litter. Can you guess which one H is?"

A total of 9.1 million people on average tuned in for the finale of the show's fifth season, according to overnight figures.

Fans of the drama posted in response: "I would guess it is the one with his back to the camera and his head hidden."

"The one with four dots," one said.

Another fan added: "H has got his back to us – he’s in that shifty, hideaway stance, avoiding all eye contact."

It came as new puppies from the force were being allocated to walkers.
