She rose to fame aged six with her rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow in the 2007 series of the reality contest, losing out eventually to opera singer Paul Potts.

Now, Connie will see her seventh album, Matters to Me, released today - Friday.

She has been posting reminders to her army of fans on Twitter where she has more than 175,000 followers.

Connie also uploaded a YouTube video of one of the tracks 'I'm Over You' which will feature on the release.

Other songs on the album will be her own version of Katy Perry's 'Roar' as well as Friends theme tune 'I'll Be There For You' by The Rembrandt's.

Since she came onto the scene, her debut album, Over the Rainbow, has sold more than 250,000 copies worldwide and reached number one in three countries.

In 2011, she also headed off to China to perform at the country's New Year celebrations which were shown to an audience of more than 600 million on the Chinese Government television.

And she entertained world leaders at a concert which opened the G20 world summit in Seoul last year.

Since her memorable first audition on BGT the singer has grown out of her sweet and innocent image which was helped by the fact the adorable youngster had no front teeth when she took to the stage before belting out the classic in front of Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden.
