Defender Billy Jones today hailed midfield sensation Morgan Amalfitano as a dream team-mate as the dust settled on the Frenchman's Old Trafford wonder-goal.
moreAmalfitano stunned Manchester United with a stunning opener on Saturday to cap a flying start to life in the Premier League.
And full-back Jones, who has played behind the on-loan Marseille man in his three Baggies starts, says the 29-year-old has been a revelation.
"He is great," said Jones. "You can give him the ball with someone tight to him and he can deal with that.
"And he is a master at wriggling out of awkward situations, which he proved a number of times on Saturday when it looked like he might have taken one touch too many and got tackled.
"He always seems to get away from a player.
"But it's not only that. From a defensive point of view he really works hard, putting pressure on the full-back and tracking back. I am enjoying playing with him and I think any right-back in this league would enjoy playing with him."
And Jones also paid tribute to young striker Saido Berahino, who continued his fairytale start to first-team life by scoring the winner – his first Premier League goal – at Old Trafford.
"He will always score goals," said Jones. "He isn't naturally a wideman but he has adapted his game to get into the team out wide and he has played really well there."
"But he will always score goals, whether that's from out wide or in the centre.
"He always seems to pop up in the right place and in the first half he had a header, which I imagine he will have expected to score.
"But he is a great striker who will always get chances.
"It is hard to come on as a sub, but he got straight into the game and was confident.
"You could see that he believes in himself and he showed what a great player and a great finisher he is.
"One thing with Saido is he will get chances and score goals because he's a natural finisher.
"He will be 'made up' like the rest of us and he has put his name in the hat to start next weekend."
