Reading don't want Walsall's Bradshaw

Reading boss Brian McDermott has dismissed claims he is interested in Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw.

McDermott's Royals host the Saddlers in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday.

Speculation has surrounded Bradshaw ever since the January transfer window opened with some reports suggesting Reading were leading the chase.

But, despite snapping up former Walsall loan star George Evans, McDermott insists he isn't interested in Bradshaw.

He said: "I haven't thought about Tom. I know him - I've watched him a couple of times. There's been speculation about Tom and I think he's a good player.

"But Tom is a Walsall player. He's someone I like but he hasn't particularly been on our radar. Tom's a good player.

"He's a box player, he can score, hold the ball up well. He's a player we have to have the utmost respect for."
