Charismatic Californian Ermolenko takes charge of the side with Peter Adams unavailable in a Bank Holiday battle at Monmore, which can keep Parrys International Wolves’ play-off hopes alive.

He said: “Wolverhampton have got a good group of riders and I know they already respect me, which is part of the battle.

“Hopefully my knowledge and expertise can help them earn a few more points, but I have faith in those guys to get the win they need over Poole.

“I’ve been in the same position in the past and it’s something I’ve really enjoyed – so fingers crossed I can make the right decisions if I need to and play my part and I’ll be there to help the boys whenever they need me.”

Ermolenko is well aware of the importance of the meeting with a big crowd expected as always on Bank Holidays.

“There’s a lot riding on this meeting and there is a bit of pressure on the team to get a win,” Ermolenko said. “Hopefully I can help the riders stay in control though, help them relax and we all know what they’re capable of at home.

“The win at Belle Vue on Monday was just what the boys needed and they’ll be full of confidence for sure
