Old Wulfs bag double figures

Old Wulfrunians swept Streetly aside 10-1 to cut the gap to North West Premier leaders Buxton to two points ahead of Saturday’s showdown between the top two.

Will Ashworth bagged his second hat-trick in as many weeks, while Andy Hobley also bagged three. Ricky Lally (two), Sahib Duhra and Owen Shave completed the scoring.

Despite having so many shots on target that captain Amy Miller lost count Stourport Ladies 2nd drew their match with North Notts in the Midlands Premier last weekend. Rachael Howells put them ahead from open play, but North Notts hit back with their only shot on target throughout the match.

Stourport Ladies 4th recorded a 3-1 victory against Redditch, while the fifths went down 5-3 at Old Halesonians 5th.

The men’s 1st lost 3-0 when they entertained West Brigdford, while the seconds went down 5-0 to Olton & West Warwickshire 3rd. The thirds lost 4-3 to their visitors Harborne 3rd, but their were wins for the fourths and fifths – who beat Stratford 4th 7-0 and Bournville 4th 4-1, respectively.
