Steve Bull: Wolves need to bolster experienced ranks

It’s only a good sign to see fresh faces coming through the door, however, I would also like to see some more experience coming into the side. We saw at the end of last season how we missed some older heads.

My priority would also be to sign a striker. It won’t be for a lack of trying, the scouts are working hard and I think it’s a matter of time before we see some more signings coming in.

I also hope it doesn’t mean it opens the door for others to leave.

I hope we can keep the same squad and add to it over the coming months.

Gary O’Neil will be delighted to get signings over the line, but fingers crossed we can keep players like Neto, Ait-Nouri and Semedo.

It is not quite as positive for England, however. In the last two games I’ve only been pleased with the first half against Serbia.

On Thursday we were very poor. We have world class players who are playing like individuals and not a team.

Players are being played out of position constantly and it’s not working. Gareth Southgate needs to make some massive changes.

But we’ve grown into tournaments in the past and I hope we see that again. It’s not about names, it’s about picking the players who can do the job for this country.

Meanwhile, I would like to express my sadness at the passing of Matija Sarkic.

It’s horrible to see this at such a young age, taking someone’s life away before they’ve even started it. It’s absolutely heartbreaking for his family.

I never met him but he seemed like a down to earth lad. For everyone associated with football, it’s a very sad loss for the game.

He had a big impact on those that knew him and I’m sure he had a great career in front of him.

To have that taken away is awful and I feel for his family and friends.

It’s a tragic incident and I wish his family the very best.
