Nuno Espirito Santo's squad arrived at staggered times for one-hour sessions on Monday, with strict social distancing rules in place.

The backroom staff have all been tested for Covid-19 – the first in the Premier League to do so – with results taking 24 hours to come through.

The players should be tested later this week or early next week.

After training from home for several weeks, Nuno's lot are being put through their paces similarly as to how they would when they return for pre-season.

The difference now, though, is that the players are prevented from doing any group activities. Instead, they are working on separate pitches.

They must also travel in their own kit and wash it when they get home.

While at home, the players were mainly doing work using exercise bikes and resistance bands to keep themselves ticking over.

Now, with Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Leander Dendoncker among those to have returned to the country this past weekend, their workload has been increased as they await a date for football's return.

The Premier League has been told by European governing body Uefa to decide on the rest of the campaign by May 25, with top-flight chiefs aiming to see the season through at neutral venues and behind closed doors.
