Coady’s men dispatched Villa 2-1 in Sunday’s derby at Molineux and now start a 13-day break sitting eighth in the Premier League table.

While goalscorers Ruben Neves (Portugal) and Raul Jimenez (Mexico) jet off to represent their countries, Coady and a number of the squad will have time to rest before the trip to Bournemouth on November 23.

And the skipper spoke of his delight.

He said: “The big thing going into the break that all the Wolves fans are really happy going into it.

“Especially because it was a derby (win).

“We knew the magnitude of the game and what it means to people to win.

“We all understand that.

“We imposed our way of playing on the game, used our width, played the way we wanted to play and scored two fantastic goals.”
