Wolves are still hopeful of landing Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City as they eye up 'at least one more' signing before tomorrow's transfer deadline.

Adama Traore will today complete his club record £18million move from Middlesbrough after undergoing a medical at Compton Park.

Traore – pictured at the Mount Hotel yesterday – will pen a long term deal and become Wolves' fourth record signing in the past two years.

He could be the first of a number of signings before Thursday's 5pm deadline.

Wolves have agreed a deal in principle with City for Ukrainian utility man Zinchenko – who could play at left wing back or central midfield.

The player has been reluctant to agree to the switch but he was left out of City's squad for the Community Shield win over Chelsea at the weekend.

It's believed Wolves are due to speak to the 21-year-old today in a bid to convince him to move to Molineux from the Premier League champions.

Sources told the Express & Star that the club were hopeful of signing at least one player, on top of Traore.

Players who cover a couple of positions would be ideal, with Wolves short of cover at centre half or central midfield (depending where Romain Saiss fits in) and wing back.

However one of those players won't be 29-year-old Croatian centre half Domagoj Vida. His club Besiktas are keen to sell and although Wolves have looked at the player there is no interest in signing him.

As for outgoings, Traore's arrival does not signal the end for Ivan Cavaleiro, who remains very much part of Nuno's plans.

Loan moves have been touted for defender Kortney Hause and possibly Bright Enobakhare but Wolves will wait and see who they bring in first before letting anyone go, with the EFL loan deadline not closing until the end of the month.
